fuZion enter the realm of StarCraft 2

We are glad to announce the addition of three StarCraft 2 players to fuZion's ranks as we continue to expand into new gaming titles!

Although the players are all familiar with each other, they are representing fuZion as individual players in the relatively new RTS game SC2 which promises to be extremely competitive on and offline. We're excited to add them to our organisation and wish them the best of luck in their endeavors.

Alex "Purge" Salem, who once played CoD4 for fuZion has expressed his happiness in returning to the organisation, with him he brings a real life friend of his Alex "MoNtY" Montrose who boasts a wealth of experience in the series due to being an active player in the original StarCraft 1. They will play both as a team and as individuals, and are currently at a gold level in every ladder they participate in. Their next goal is to push towards platinum, and eventually diamond.

Moreover, Damian "Semen" Bank has also joined our ranks as a SC2 player. The German 22 year old has an indepth gaming past which includes spells at some of the top German teams in CoD2 and CoD4. However, he is now playing SC2 in the gold ladders with the intention of rising further. You can catch him in the daily and weekly ESL cups as well as the German EAS. He will represent fuZion exclusively in 1vs1s on a regular basis.

Welcome to fuZion, we hope you have a happy, long and succesful time with us!

AEF has come and gone!

After a very entertaining trip to Antwerp, our first Call of Duty 4 team have returned with smiles on their faces and a satisfactory performance at the Antwerp eSports Festival.

AEF was Team fuZion's first LAN as a team, and they proved themselves to be a force to be reckoned with in the scene after such a performance at LAN. Much of the scene underestimated our squad, predicting a crash out in the groups with Epsilon going through in the third place we would be fighting for.

However, Team fuZion were quiet in their approach, and knew what they would be capable of individually and as a team. In the end, the team managed to qualify from their group, only losing to the two seeded teams TCM and SPEEDLINK. They then went on to face the Czech powerhouse of eSuba in the knockout stages who were rejuvenated by Mazarini's return to the side, and eventually lost out 13-10 to the highly experienced LAN side.

Our results in the groups were as follows:

Team fuZion 13 - 10 plusONE
Team fuZion 13 - 9 Epsilon
Team fuZion 13 - 4 H4u Gaming
Team fuZion 8 - 13 TCM
Team fuZion 7 - 13 SPEEDLINK
Team fuZion 13 - 9 Team Visualize

In the playoffs:

Team fuZion 10 - 13 eSuba

These results left us in the 17th-24th bracket, and if round difference was to differentiate exact positioning we would be placed 18th overall in the tournament. Well done everyone and lets hope the side can build for their next event.

Statement from Sean "ZAJAKI" Kilbride: "I think that we performed very well if people take into account the things that we had against us. For a team who had just finished the line up one week before the lan and had players who had never been to a big EU lan we performed very well. Our main objective was to get out of our groups and we did even if we finished up on a disappointing game against eSuba. I am definitely confident that fuZion can accomplish a lot more in the next lans to come! As for the event I really enjoyed AEF I liked how well the admins had things organised, the only problem was the long journey to the event! A big shoutout to KosH for his managerial guidance and haunting stories! <3"

AEF: Groups released by Vita Nova

The Vita Nova crew have been working hard behind closed doors to work out the format of the Antwerp Esports Festival #2 in Antwerp, Belgium next week. Just a couple of days ago, the groups have been made public by the game admins.

The LAN itself will be the biggest non-BYOC event in the history of Call of Duty 4 and will definitely go down in people's memories. The staff behind the event, who will have representatives of Vita Nova live at the event to take care of everything Call of Duty 4 related, have been working hard to find a proper tournament format to ensure as much playability by all the teams involved and have settled on the following:

During the first two days, all the groups will be played out in full 8 groups of 7 in total to incorporate all the 56 registered and paid teams. With a huge amount of pc's available for the Call of Duty 4 tournament, this means all the groups will be played out in succession and there should be as few moving as possible. This also means that all teams will have a guaranteed 6 matches during the group stage, which is a lot more than the standard two to three matches you have on other LANs with groups of four.

All matchdays start at 8:30 CET in the morning. Which groups play in the morning, afternoon or evening will be announced later today!

The top row, groups A, D, E and F play on Friday the 30th of July. The bottom row, groups B, C, G and H will play on Saturday the 31st of July

The Call of Duty 4 squad expressed their satisfaction with their group placing and are quietly confident they can get out of their group without much stress.
